Power factor correction units and systems have been around for years. The most traditional and recognized system being capacitor based. While this system may be considered outdated, there is a new generation of capacitors with improved efficiency, performance, and safety ratings. 

The Hybrid system, which incorporates the SVG system into a capacitor based unit. Provides a system with advanced switching and easy maintenance. 

The full SVG system is a more recent approach, designed on electronic components, and also covers harmonic and resonance mitigation. Wireless interfaces are also included, so that system management and faults can be monitored in real time.
