Power Factor Correction Units
If a site has a low power factor or experiences any of the symptoms associated with poor power quality, such as high energy costs and inadequate machinery performance, a specialist review and advice on power factor correction is recommended. Each power factor correction unit is designed and built to suit a site's needs, whether it requires a capacitor-based, hybrid or a full SVG system.
An advised place to start is to calculate your current network power factor, by using the kVAr calculator here. If your calculated power factor falls out of the preferred range of 0.97-0.98, a further data analysis of the network is recommended. Contact one of our technicians to discuss further.
